Seeking support helps us show up more fully for the people we love. We are able to offer others the hope and care that we have first received (2 Corinthians 1:3-5, NIV; 2 Corinthians 9:11-12, NIV).
It is often easier to see the needs of others than it is to see our own; ours can seem small and insignificant when someone we love is hurting. Sometimes we approach care as either/or when it can be both/and.
Our whole person matters to God. Kerith is a confidential space to listen, process and discern next steps. This isn’t always possible by simply pressing on. Sometimes we need to step back to show up with eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to respond to God and others in new ways.
Our pastoral care services are not health care services; pastoral care is designed to work in tandem with primary care providers and licensed mental health clinicians—not as an alternative/substitute. We refer to licensed professionals/clinicians for mental health services and are happy to help you get connected to a good-fit clinician for appropriate care.
Our studies integrate theory and practice with Scripture. We believe that meaningful learning occurs over time and endures when it is paired with the Bible, lived experience, and relationship with others.
Listening is an act of love. How we’ve been listened to informs how we listen (and don’t listen) to others. In this study, we will be putting presence into practice with God, self, and others as we engage story, Scripture, and spiritual disciplines.
We are imago Dei. Created in the image of God for relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We’re created to listen with our entire being—mind, body, and spirit in context and community.
